In: Latest News

The iFADO project was involved in several activities in Brest, from 8 to 12 October.

During 8 and 9 October, the partner Pôle Mer Bretagne hosted the 3rd General Meeting, where all partners were gathered in order to: i) review/clarify the working program and detail the activities for the next 6 months; ii) concretise the objectives of the project and each WP; and iii) refine project Management, Deliverables, Milestones and Calendar. This meeting allowed a deep involvement between partners, leading to the creation a clear idea of iFADO state of the art. A special emphasis was given to the signature of the Memorandum of Understanding with several SMEs around the Atlantic Area, and how the technology transfer between the scientific work of the consortium and the commercial use of the companies can be more effective and quick.

From 8 to 12 October, the project had an active participation at the Sea Tech Week, with a dedicated booth coordinated by Pôle Mer Bretagne. Moreover, in 9 October, iFADO was presented during a panel discussion with various actors of the MSFD. The discussion addressed the challenges of marine surveillance, existing solutions and the need for innovation. The participation at the Sea Tech Week was very positive, since the project was disseminated among a specialised audience and its international visibility was enhanced.
