During the last week, the project was presented to several marine economy stakeholders.
From 11-13 November, iFADO participated in several initiatives under the Business2Sea Forum, in Oporto. The project was represented by Francisco Campuzano, project manager at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), and Manuel Ruiz-Villareal, researcher at Instituto Español de Oceanografia (IEO).
At 13 November, iFADO played an important role at two events hosted by Business2Sea. First, during the 6th Atlantic Stakeholder Platform Conference, the central hub for stakeholders of the Atlantic Strategy, iFADO intervened at the Workshop Digital Solutions in oceans and maritime industry implemented by the Directorate General for Maritime Policy. The main objectives were to provide an overview of the existing digital solutions of the blue economy developed in the Atlantic Area, particularly in Portugal, and to present some good practices and experiences in the development and financing mechanisms that support existing digital solutions, increasing their visibility.
The second initiative was the Interreg Atlantic Area Annual Event, under the thematic session Building a sustainable and cohesive Atlantic: why do Interreg Atlantic projects matter?, which was moderated by INTERACT. In this session, the iFADO project was highlighted as a reference project for the Marine Innovation sector, sharing its experience to an audience of 150 delegates. Other projects acknowledged in the session were GEOATLANTIC (Energy Transition), SEAFUEL (Greener Atlantic) and ATLAS.WH (Cultural Identity).
In the first two days of Business2Sea Forum, iFADO was also present in other activities. At 11 November, project materials were displayed at the Interreg Atlantic Area exhibition stand, where several project showcased their concepts and practices. At 12 November, the project and last results were presented to an audience of several marine economy stakeholders, during the Business2Sea pitching session.
The participation in all these initiatives was a great opportunity to raise awareness about the activities that are being performed during the iFADO project and to disseminate the project to different audiences.
